Develops a silvery patina from UV rays High decay resistance HANDLING & STORAGE Material should be allowed to acclimate to local environment before installation INSTALLATION -Allow for ground side ventilation to provide proper air circulation -Boards should be gapped 1/16" when installed -Boards will shrink approx. 1/16" on 4" board and 1/8" on 6" board, when fully seasoned MACHINING -Premium carbide tipped saws and high quality drills are recommended -Predrill board ends for all fasteners -Predrill & counterbore for standard screws -Countersink for self drilling screws FASTENERS -Stainless steel screws recommended -If using pneumatic nailers (not recommended unless very experienced with product), nails must be driven in at an angle and a construction adhesive (PL400) must be used. Same applies to deck clip systems. Ends still need to be predrilled and hand nailed or screwed. FINISH -No finish is needed. -If you want to maintain the dark look, the best product is a penetrating oil based finish (Penofin works great)
