箴duct may be Solid or Laminated Laminated material has a stave core with a solid 3/8" veneered sides MERANTI Kiln dried to 12-14% moisture content Sold random tally 6'-20' odd & even 10% 6'-7' Average length 11'-12' Maximum spacing for 5/4 decking is 24" oc ADEQUATE AIR FLOW IS REQUIRED * Deck must be 18" or more above ground * Allow air to flow freely through skirting below deck DECK BOARD SPACING IS CRITICAL Kiln dried material does not shrink * SPACE 5/4X6 BOARDS A FULL 1/4" * SPACE 5/4X4 BOARDS A FULL 3/16" In wet climates, add 1/16" to your spacing THIS LUMBER DOES NOT SHRINK FROM END TO END Start with clean, square end cuts and butt boards tight Brass, stainless steel or galvanized fasteners work best. Does not contain tannins that react with metal. Fasteners should penetrate at least 1-1/2" into the substrate of the deck. Should be sunk at an angle of 15 degrees, rather than in a straight line. Set nails or screws 3/4" from edge or end of boards. SUGGEST 3 FASTENERS ACROSS THE FACE OF 5/4X6 BOARDS.
